Office Spaces

Fabled Environments proudly announces the release of its first title, Modern Floorplans Volume 1: Office Spaces. This RPG accessory is a great edition to the library of any gamer looking for detailed floor plans for a modern or near-future setting. This map set is being distributed exclusively by 12 to Midnight.

“I’m fortunate enough to share a mutual friend with Krista and Charles over at Fabled Enviroments. This meant that I got an early peek at the maps they’re producing. Krista is a professional architectural drafter and that quality shines through in her RPG maps. We are very pleased that they accepted our offer to distribute their work under the 12 to Midnight banner,” said Preston DuBose, 12 to Midnight president.

The Modern Floorplans series is the brainchild of long-time gamer, Charles White and his talented wife, Krista White. “For years I have wanted detailed floor plans for use in my horror, espionage and near-future based games,” explained Charles. “However, none really existed. Eventually I turned to my wife, who is a drafter with experience in interior design and space planning. The result is a wonderful map set that any gamer would be proud to use.”

The first of the Modern Floorplans series, Office Spaces, features three structures: a high-rise office building, a two-story warehouse, and a free-standing, one-story office structure. “The high rise office building consists of an entrance lobby floor complete with a security area as well as a newsstand/convenience store, a standard floor plan that can be repeated to create a building of any size and a restaurant that serves as the top floor of the structure,” Krista shared. “All of the floor plans in the kit have been designed to scale and can be used directly with miniatures.” Since not all people have access to plotters, the maps have been broken up into a series of tiles that can be assembled to create one large map. In addition, both an 8.5 × 11 sheet and a single 24 × 36 map of each floor plan is included. Along with complete maps of each structure, maps of the structure without room labels and without furniture are also included.

In case the “Volume 1” in the title wasn’t enough of a clue, you can definitely expect more volumes coming from Fabled Environments. Most of the maps in the next two volumes are already done, and they are open to suggestions for even more.
